Mary Ann Pearson has more than twenty-five years of experience in Journalism, Public Relations and Education and she serves as the Chair of Arts and Sciences for CBU/Online and the Program Director for the Public Relations Program. Pearson worked in public relations specializing in marketing and public relations campaigns in the real estate industry and with nonprofits.  Pearson is very involved in the community and has worked with the Hispanic Literacy Program, Colton Joint Unified School District Superintendent’s community cabinet, Give Big Riverside, Girl Scouts of America, PRSA, CAPIO and other organizations including supporting internships with the Riverside Downtown Partnership. She is an accomplished freelance writer, teacher and leader. Pearson researched mentoring and working with millennials as a part of her doctoral dissertation (2010) and has coached dozens of millennial students to help them complete successful internships and to work through building skills and effective communication to navigate the application process leading to job offers.
