PRSA Hawaii members put their knowledge of local news and politics to the test at the chapter’s first event of the year, HPR Generation Listen X PRSA Hawaii Virtual Trivia, on Jan. 21.
The evening Zoom program was held in partnership with HPR Generation Listen to help the Hawaii Public Radio volunteer-led initiative to connect and engage younger listeners. Most participants signed up as teams, but even those who registered as individuals benefited from the virtual networking opportunity as they were placed with small groups of other public relations and industry colleagues.
Organizers executed a stellar contest incorporating into the trivia mix International Market Place, which generously donating Mitsuwa Marketplace gift cards and Banyan tote bags for the winners. Congratulations to Lila Aiyar, Clayton Corbierre, Emily Huang, Sheela Jayaraman, Melissa Matsubara and Enakshi Singh for demonstrating their subject-matter mastery.
PRSA Hawaii extends a warm mahalo to HPR, International Marketplace, and all who participated! This year’s programs co-chairs, Maria Hartfield and Sheela Sharma, encourage chapter members to not let social distancing keep them from networking. Keep an eye out for “Synergy,” the chapter’s February virtual event to be held in partnership with several other Hawaii professional associations.
