Alternative Strategies celebrates two decades of success

San Diego (July 2020) — On July 25th, San Diego’s award-winning Marketing and Communications firm Alternative Strategies celebrated its 20th anniversary. Known for elevating the stature and bottom line of dozens of businesses for two decades, the agency has earned its sparkling reputation.

Top San Diego restaurant groups have relied on the Alternative Strategies team of experts for years. Elated clients include the renowned Rise and Shine Restaurant Group, which represents ten Breakfast Republic locations, Feast & Fareway, two Fig Tree Café locations, Breakfast Company, Eggies and their newest venture California Taco Club. The Verant Group — whose menu of restaurants and bars include barleymash, True North Tavern, Sandbar, Tavern and Mavericks — is another long-term client. For more than a decade, Alternative Strategies has also been the agency of record for OMG Hospitality, which operate two Union Kitchen & Tap locations, PB Alehouse, Waterbar and Backyard Kitchen & Tap.

“Having a supportive team — and a dedicated family of past and current clients, vendors and partners — has made reaching this 20-year milestone possible,” says William Lopez, founder and CEO of Alternative Strategies. “I couldn’t be more grateful to my passionate team for working together, digging their heels in and contributing to the building and growing of each business.”

Among Alternative Strategies accolades is its being featured in Inc. Magazine, HOW and Print Magazine among other national publications. The agency has also won awards from prominent organizations including the American Marketing Association, American Design, Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) and the Greater San Diego Business Association.

No strangers to adversity, Alternative Strategies has pulled through tough times in the past, including 9/11 and the housing crisis of 2008, when the company’s clients roster included mostly real estate firms. Lopez prides himself on being equipped to solve many problems and issues, which has empowered his staff and clients to reach important personal, professional and financial goals through the years.

Confident that his agency’s pedigree and experience empowers its team to help clients navigate challenges that lay ahead, Lopez looks forward to promoting a bright and profitable future for Alternative Strategies and its prospering clients.
