    • Over the past decade, podcasting has emerged as a dominant form of communication. Whether for entertainment, knowledge or networking, people of all ages and backgrounds tune in to podcasts to fit their needs and keep their day going. Find out how podcasting can fit into the world of public relations. In this session, expect to learn:
      • The brief history and background of podcasting–why has this become such a dominant form of media and where can you find your place?
      • How to make sure your podcast stands out from the pack. What distinguishes quality content in a crowded space.
      • What can you do to continue the conversation in between episodes? We’ll touch on the important role of supplementary digital material as well as utilizing social media.
  • Career Development: Living Our Best PR Life: Prioritizing Ourselves Through Fitness, Health and Wellness

    • To show that #PRMatters, we must not only advocate for ourselves and have a voice in major business decisions, we also must do something often neglected: take care of our mind and body.     • Measuring the effectiveness of PR isn’t enough anymore. Senior management is asking for more direct correlation of the money spent on communication with the business outcomes resulting from it—how it increases revenue or reduces expenses. In this session, expect to learn:
      • How communication has affected bottom-line issues at other organizations
      • How to collect data for the ROI calculation by tracking changes in audience behaviors before and after you communicate
      • How to use an ROI worksheet to calculate the return on your own communication campaigns or channels
